nominated for the Norwegian Oscar and nominated in 9 other festivals. For me I am focusing on my new film
"The last Sami girl". It is a busy life as a filmmmaker 22 diferent festivals and countries this

I write from Tartu although I am not Estonian. I saw your movie ‘Beautiful Tragedy’ in March - Maailm Filmi
Festival. I think you made a good documentary but more than this you made art. The way you shoot and show the
images is very well done and also sensitive. Your images open the possibility to go into emotion, dreams,
beauty, pain, jealousy and frustration of a dancer’s life. The film’s photography is excellent. It is
beautiful visually. The way you shoot the dancers, their movement, their face and expression and specially the
way you look to them and the environment around is very artistic. I appreciate your movie and I would like to
discover more about your work. I would like to see the other 2 documentaries you made in Russia. How can I
get your films? Congratulations for you beautiful work.

Sorry for asking... when was "Killing Girls" shot? You say that it's a film
about the Russian society and all the promotional texts about the film do repeat the statistics about the 80%
of Russian women who allegedly have between 2 and 10 abortions. If the film was shot in 2006 or before 2006,
please specify this, because the Russian society has changed since then, as far as I know, if we talk about
birthrate and abortions.
And if these girls and their families are the actual ones and there isn't any
actors, then are you sure that this is 100% ethical? I mean, young girls, some of them victims of rape, some
of them half-naked, exposed like this to the contempt of any viewer? Just see the comments on youtube about
"dumb sluts"... and worse. |

March, the site is called killinggirlsmovie.com and will have downloads and DVD's that can be bought. |

that's just plain silly! if you are that severely underweight you don't have the strength &
energy to do ballet well..

is amazing! I think i have watched the clips like 10 times each and cry everytime! As a ballet dancer myself I
cant wait to get my hands on this video, I have to wait for my next paycheck though! hehe I can't thank
you enough for making such a moving documentary on ballet. Its becoming a lost art and it means so much to
dancers when we find people who appreciate it and what we do! Thank you! |
