The Kingdom of the Eider

”For me, "The Kingdom of the Eider" is a film about how people have to go to so extremes to entertain wild birds, just to get their feathers. Coming from a large city and not having this "nature in my blood" I found the whole idea of people running around like in a hotel trying to keep these birds entertained very interesting. I want this film to be told as a "once Upon a time" fairy tale with voice over that will help us through the story, but with my terrible black irish humor!  I find the story intriguing, how a women will work for one whole year, just to make one duvet. Sitting there with their guns waiting to "blast" the predators. I find the whole story very amusing and sweet, something our society here in Norway is in danger of losing”.
